In 1999, Founder Tracy Coats left a stable job at a national pest company to start his own business. He believed companies are much more effective when they focus on the consumer experience – not the bottom line. The first few years were challenging, but Tracy was determined to succeed with the support of his wife and two young daughters.
Through hard work, long hours, and perseverance, the Neuse Termite and Pest Control is over 20 years in business, with over 70 employees. In the spirit of giving back to the community, the company is proud to award the Neuse Termite & Pest Control Adversity Scholarship each year!
The scholarship is awarded to Johnston County high school seniors who exemplify the values that enabled Tracy to be successful: hard work, tenacity, and the will to overcome adversity. These seniors have worked hard in school while staying involved in the community and extracurricular activities. They have also successfully overcome individual adversities to pursue their higher education dreams.
